Jared’s Private Email Account May Be More Trouble Than It’s Worth

WASHINGTON D. C. – A British email prankster, who goes by the twitter name @SINON_REBORN, sent an email pretending to be Jared Kushner. This email was sent to Kushner’s attorney, Abbe Lowell. The email asked for advice about what to do about “adult” content that “Kushner” had on a private email account. Lowell advised who he thought was Kushner to keep the material.

In this email exchange it was discussed that Kushner did indeed have a private email account that was yet unknown to the senate committee assigned to the Russia Investigation. The chairman of the committee, Richard Burr, and the Vice Chair Mark Warner, found out about this private email through a New York Times article. Apparently Sinon forward this exchange to the New York Times. In his campaigning, President Donald Trump expressed on multiple occasions his distrust of Hillary Clinton for her private email account, yet now his senior adviser is in the same situation. An anonymous person in who is familiar with the emails says that less than a hundred emails have been exchanged on this account. There are also comments saying that this is different than the Hillary Emails because Kushner doesn’t have his own private email server.

Whether or not the email account is used for official business, the senate committee on the Russia Investigation is not happy that they were not informed of the existence of the email account. In a letter sent to Lowell labeled “COMMITTEE SENSITIVE”, they told Kushner to double-check that he had revealed all information and documents relevant to the Russia Investigation. Lowell responded that they reviewed the account when the request for the relevant documents was made, and they found no relevant information contained within.

In another twist, Lowell tried to forward the letter to Kushner but somehow sent it to Sinon’s fake Kushner account instead. Sinon then passed the letter on to CNN. Lowell declined to comment but Sinon had no such reservations. Over the phone he said, “Basically, I think he just hit reply to the first address that popped up on his screen.” Apparently Lowell’s phone auto filled Sinon’s fake Kushner account and Lowell accidentally sent it to him.
